Bellinger Moody Named Executive of the Year by Cambridge Who’s Who

(Monday March 19, 2007)— Medac is pleased to announce that Bellinger Moody, Medac’s Senior Vice President of Compliance, has been recognized by Cambridge Who’s Who as Executive of the Year. This prestigious honor is awarded to only one member in each discipline and the honorees are selected based on outstanding accomplishments, academic achievement, leadership, and service.

Bellinger holds a B.A. in Business Administration from Morehouse College, and is a nationally known expert in the field of anesthesia and pain management. He has been published in a variety of industry publications and is a frequent speaker at conferences.

Bellinger has over 14 years experience in the healthcare industry and 8 years experience in anesthesia and pain management billing, coding, reimbursement, education, and management. Through Bellinger's experience auditing and consulting for anesthesia and pain practices across the country, he has gained many valuable insights into anesthesia and pain-specific coding and compliance pitfalls.  These include common documentation problems that affect reimbursement, CRNA coding issues and how they vary between states, managed care contract issues that affect reimbursement, unique anesthesia & pain coding techniques that increase reimbursement, cardiac anesthesia coding compliance, critical care coding for maximum compliance and reimbursement.  Bellinger is also very experienced in anesthesia billing rules and exceptions for Medicare, Medicaid, and private payors, teaching facility documentation rules and coding techniques for maximum compliance and reimbursement as well as policy variability between different Medicare carriers and private payers.
