In 1992, brothers Kam and John Memar founded Medac to fill a void in the industry - billing and management services for anesthesiologists. Sons of a physician and experienced in the industry, the Memars understood the complexities of running a physicians' practice and the additional challenges that hospital based physicians faced.
Leaving their homes in Atlanta, the duo built a company from the ground up in nearby Augusta, GA - a location chosen for its thriving medical community and access to a trained, stable workforce.
While the medical industry has faced many challenges and twists and turns, Medac has been at the forefront of changes to help its physician clients navigate through the difficult times and confusion.
