It is my great pleasure to announce that Jackie Velilla (recently married and therefore known to many of you as Jackie Popiella) will be joining the Medac senior management team on November 16th as Senior VP Practice Management for our Western Region.  Jerry O’Leary will become the Senior VP for our Eastern region.

Jackie joins Medac with over 15 years of experience in the healthcare industry.  For the past 10 years, she has focused specifically on anesthesia practice management, most recently serving as Vice President of Client Services for Anesthesia Business Consultants.  She has a wealth of experience in anesthesia billing and practice management, and has worked with groups ranging in size from 2  to 250 physicians.   Jackie is a Certified Professional Coder and holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance.

At Medac, we know that there is no substitute for personal service in practice management.  Delivering the service our clients need and deserve requires a highly qualified team with a limited  number of clients so that adequate time can be devoted to the day to day management tasks, and also to the special non-recurring needs of their assigned accounts.   The Medac Practice Management department now consists of nine  professionals with more than 100 years of combined experience in anesthesia, and more than 200 years of experience in the healthcare field.  This gives Medac the best client to practice manager ratio in the industry, consistent with our commitment to comprehensive and personalized service to our clients.

We are all looking forward to working with Jackie as part of our Medac senior management team, and are confident that she will have a positive impact on our ability to continue providing the highest level of service to our current clients, and the many new ones that will be joining Medac in the coming years.
