At Medac, we believe that recruiting and retaining experienced practice managers who have built a reputation for excellence throughout their careers is the key to maintaining our reputation for delivering the highest level of personalized service to our clients.  Consistent with our commitment to continually improve our value to clients as a business partner, it is my great pleasure to announce that Lewis Woodell will be joining us on November 15th as VP Practice Management in the Western Region. 

Lewis is a seasoned healthcare professional who comes to Medac with more than 17 years’ experience in management of Anesthesia and Pain Management practices. His areas of expertise include strategic planning, information systems and conversions, operations and financial management, billing and reimbursement and managed care contracting.  Lewis started his career in anesthesia with AAI and, for the past eleven years has been in a senior practice management role with Abeo,  where he was responsible for day to day management of the business office and practice management for more than 350 physicians and 150 CRNAs. 

Lewis will be based in Arlington Texas and will report to Jackie Velilla (also known to many of you as Jackie Popiella), who will also be joining Medac on November 15th as Senior VP Practice Management for the Western Region.   As you may know, Jackie comes to Medac from ABC, where she held a senior practice management position during the past ten years. 

Our success in recruiting these highly respected practice managers from our two largest competitors speaks volumes about Medac’s growing reputation for excellence in this industry, and we are very grateful to all of our employees and clients for their part in making Medac what we are today.  We are proud to have these two practice management professionals as part of our management team, and hope that you will join us in welcoming them to the Medac family.
