To our Medac clients and colleagues:

First, I hope that all of you are having a pleasant holiday season with your family.  As this year draws to a close, I wanted to take this opportunity to give you a recap of this past year and our priorities for the coming year.   In 2010, we added significant strength to our leadership team in Practice Management, Operations and IT.  All of these new additions bring a wealth of experience to Medac and I’m sure that you will find them to be valuable resources as you talk with them in person or by phone in the coming year.  More information about our entire management team can be found on our website at www.medac.com.  In response to a high level of interest among both current and future clients, we completed an assessment of technology alternatives relating to quality measurement and entered into a relationship with a Colorado based software development company, to develop a quality capture and reporting system. The resulting Quality Capture product will deliver enabling technology to simplify the capture and reporting of anesthesia quality measures on a case level.  More information about this product can be found at www.progressivemdsolutions.com.  
Throughout our history, we have maintained financial strength and stability without sacrificing our independence as a family owned company, or control of our investment decisions relating to technology and customer service.  The significant progress we have been able to achieve in 2010 is a direct result of this strategy which allows us to react quickly when there is an opportunity to improve our systems, and adopt new technology that can impact our client practices.  We are well-positioned for great success in the coming year and our plans to build on those strengths are ambitious, but at the same time exciting for all of us who are dedicated to setting new standards in the industry for quality of systems and service, transparency, integrity, reporting and performance measurement. 

Our plans and priorities for 2011 include new investments in technology staff and systems that will add capacity in our software development group, and improve system efficiency, reliability and security.  We will also be completing work on a data warehousing solution in 2011 that will further improve access to your data.  As you know, that data resides in the only fully transparent system in the industry and we are committed to improving your ability to access it, and use it in a way that has true value in your day to day management of the practice.  Other focus areas in 2011 include continuing work on the ICD-10 and 5010 conversions, and further development of the rules engines that help make Medac the industry leader in clean claims percentage.

We are proud to be associated with all of our clients and physician partners, and hope that you will share our excitement about our accomplishments in 2010 and all that we have to look forward to in the coming year.
